MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 Kids Kansai Preliminary Event Report
On January 10, 2026, the highly anticipated
MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 KIDS KANSAI CLIMAX preliminary event took place at SPACE A-Sh in Japan, organized by Anomaly, with CEO Kanta Kanda leading the initiative. This event is part of the world's largest solo dance battle,
MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026, which originally started in 2005 as
DANCE@LIVE in Japan, evolving into a global phenomenon in street dance competitions.
Overview of MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026
MyNavi DANCEALIVE features a unique one-on-one format where dancers compete face-to-face, responding to music provided by a DJ, in an improvised dance showdown. The only individuals aware of the tracks are the DJs, making this competition depend on creativity, skill, and performance to win the favor of the judges. The competition is divided into six categories including the general division forming five styles:
HOUSE,
BREAKING,
HIPHOP,
ALL STYLES, and
POPPING. For younger participants, there is a special category called KIDS, specifically for those below junior high school age, keeping the vibrant spirit of street dance alive among youth.
The preliminaries are conducted across eight regions in Japan:
Hokkaido, Tohoku, Hokuriku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, China, and Kyushu, all competing for the chance to participate in the grand finals set for April 2026.
