On May 14, ticket sales will begin for a once-in-a-lifetime concert featuring the renowned minimalist composer Terry Riley and the three-time Grammy Award-winning Kronos Quartet in a remarkable collaboration celebrating Riley’s 90th birthday. This event, set to take place at Kanagawa Kenritsu Ongakudo and Tokyo University of the Arts, is poised to be a historic landmark in music history, marking the first time these two musical legends share the stage in Japan.

The Terry Riley Matsuri 2025 Executive Committee successfully raised an impressive 6,547,100 yen through crowdfunding efforts, exceeding their goal and gathering support from 303 backers. As a heartfelt thank you to the supporters, the specially dedicated website for the Matsuri 2025 concert has launched, providing ticketing information for both performances scheduled for June 25 and June 28.
