The most notable change is the retirement of J. Ted Nissen from his positions as CEO and President of First Community Bank and as a director, effective December 31, 2026. Nissen has been a pivotal figure in the banking industry for over four decades, with a remarkable 31-year tenure at First Community Bank. He has actively contributed to various community organizations including the South Carolina Bankers Association and Lexington Medical Center Foundation. Mike Crapps, the current CEO of First Community Corporation, expressed gratitude for Nissen’s dedication, noting the profound impact he has had on the bank's culture, employees, and the surrounding community.
