Copper Intelligence Unveils Promising High-Grade Copper Results
AFDG-Copper Intelligence has recently revealed impressive assay results from their Butembo Copper/Gold project located in North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This announcement was made in conjunction with the Mining Indaba, a renowned event focused on mining development and capitalization in Africa.
The exploration team successfully executed a channel sampling program across various pits, namely PT9, NP03, PT14, PT16, and PT15. This initiative sought to delineate and confirm the copper mineralization within these targeted sites. The samples collected were rigorously analyzed to determine their copper content, adhering to industry standards.
The channel sampling method employed ensures accurate results, as samples were sent to an accredited laboratory. Notably, the lithological units primarily comprised mica schist layers, where mineralization included malachite, bornite, and other copper oxides. The sampled pits were developed through artisanal and exploratory efforts between 2024 and 2025. It appears that the delineated zone spans approximately 400 to 500 meters in length and extends to about 4.5 meters in depth. Notably, valuable copper intercepts were discovered from just 1 meter below the surface, suggesting that the exploration may yet find higher-grade sulphide zones beneath the current sediment.
Key Highlights of the Channel Sample Findings
- - Outstanding High-Grade Intercepts:
1.
1.50m @ 12.9% Copper (Cu) from pit PT16 (1.00m depth), which includes:
- 0.50m @ 20.3% (from 2.00m depth)
- 1.00m @ 9.2% (from 1.00m depth)
2.
2.60m @ 10.8% Copper (Cu) from pit PT15 (2.00m depth), which includes:
- 0.75m @ 24.9% (from 2.75m depth)
- 0.55m @ 8.2% (from 4.05m depth)
3.
1.00m @ 1.3% Copper (Cu) from pit PT9 (2.00m depth)
These high-grade results from the Butembo site strongly indicate the area's potential for substantial copper deposits. The presence of high-grade mineralization, particularly the exceptional intercepts of 24.9% and 20.3%, validates Copper Intelligence's exploration model and enhances their understanding of the mineral resources present in the project area.
Looking ahead, the company is enthusiastic about leveraging the insights gained from these results to inform the next phase of exploration. This will likely include detailed mapping and intense drilling efforts to further define and assess the scope of these premium-grade copper zones. Richard Rice, a registered professional scientist and qualified person as recognized by several geological standards, prepared this comprehensive overview based on meticulous field observations and professional judgement.
Forward-Looking Statements
As with any forward-looking statements, it's essential to understand that they do not guarantee future results. AFDG-Copper Intelligence acknowledges that various factors could lead to results substantially differing from expectations, such as operational risks inherent in mining, regulatory compliance, and other real-time conditions impacting mining operations. Investors are encouraged to stay informed about these potential risks and the dynamic nature of mining exploration. AFDG also commits to maintaining transparency regarding their business endeavors, ensuring stakeholders are kept in the loop regarding significant updates and changes.
