Papas to Sponsor La Folle Journée Tokyo 2026
Papas, a renowned brand for men's casual wear, is set to sponsor the much-anticipated La Folle Journée Tokyo 2026. Scheduled from May 3rd to May 5th, this vibrant classical music festival is expected to draw music lovers to the Tokyo International Forum and the Marunouchi area. This collaboration aims to offer a remarkable experience combining music, shopping, and community engagement.
Connecting Music with the Community
Through this initiative, Papas will create a unique space that bridges the concert venue and their Marunouchi shop. The goal is to provide visitors not only with entertainment from remarkable musical performances but also to enhance their everyday lives by integrating the event's atmosphere into their shopping experience.
Exclusive T-Shirt Merchandise
To commemorate this occasion, Papas will release a limited edition T-shirt designed by illustrator Jun Iida. This original artwork, inspired by music, will be featured prominently at the event where staff will wear the T-shirts as uniforms, and 40 limited-edition pieces will also be available for sale. This special item allows attendees to take a piece of the festival home with them.
Area Concert at Marunouchi
On May 3rd, the Marunouchi store will host an Area Concert, an enjoyable intersection of shopping and live music. Visitors can experience fantastic performances while exploring the brand’s offerings. The schedule includes:
- - 12:00 PM: Woodwind Trio – Danshe comprised of Kazuna Muramatsu (oboe), Kengo Takama (clarinet), and Yui Kaji (bassoon).
- - 4:00 PM: Cello Quartet – Yui Cello Quartet featuring Keiko Izumi, Nami Iwahara, Saori Nagatomi, and Yasuko Yukimoto.
Meet the Performers
Woodwind Trio – Danshe
- - Kazuna Muramatsu (Oboe) hails from Mie Prefecture. An accomplished musician, she graduated from Aichi Prefectural Meiwa High School and Aichi Prefectural University of Arts. Kazuna has won numerous awards, including the gold prize at the 16th Japan Junior Wind Instrument Competition.
- - Kengo Takama (Clarinet) graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Arts. Notably, he has participated in various prominent concerts, including the 40th Yamaha Wind Instrument Newcomers Concert.
- - Yui Kaji (Bassoon) is a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts. Yui has showcased her talents in various projects, such as the 73rd Fukuoka performance of the New Artist Development Project Orchestra Series.
Cello Quartet – Yui
Formed in 2013, Yui Cello Quartet aims to share the joy of music through their performances. They have organized concerts in Tokyo and Sendai, continually seeking to create unique music that resonates with audiences.
