e-dash Registered as a Support Provider for Energy Conservation in Tokyo

e-dash Secures Registration as Energy Conservation Support Provider in Tokyo

In a significant stride towards environmental sustainability, e-dash Inc. has announced its registration as a support provider for energy conservation measures under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Energy Conservation Consulting Project for small to medium-sized businesses in 2025. This project, spearheaded by Governor Yuriko Koike, aims to assist local enterprises in reducing their CO2 emissions effectively. What sets e-dash apart is that it is the only company listed as a provider of CO2 emission visualization tools under this initiative, which includes a total of eight registered support providers this year.

Overview of the Consulting Project

The Tokyo Energy Conservation Consulting Project targets businesses that meet specific criteria, such as having an energy usage below 1500 kiloliters when converted to oil equivalents for the previous year. The participating support providers conduct investigations and analyses of energy consumption relating to equipment, electricity, and gas, proposing tailored energy conservation measures based on the unique characteristics of each business. These services are offered free of charge, allowing businesses to benefit without financial strain.

To become a participant as a support provider, registration as a “business entity” is mandatory. This process requires the designation of qualified personnel, including a Energy Manager and a Technical Supervisor for Global Warming Prevention, each possessing the requisite qualifications and over three years of practical experience in energy diagnosis.

Upon fulfilling these prerequisites, e-dash successfully registered as a business entity and subsequently applied to be a support provider, culminating in its recent successful approval.

e-dash’s Ongoing Commitment

Through the provision of the e-dash platform, e-dash has consistently supported companies in visualizing their energy consumption, conducting energy audits, and implementing various energy-saving initiatives in an integrated manner. With this new designation, the company aims to leverage its extensive experience to further assist Tokyo businesses in promoting energy conservation and decarbonization efforts, supporting the city’s ambitious goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving zero net CO2 emissions by 2050 under its Zero Emission Tokyo vision.

What is e-dash?

e-dash stands as a comprehensive service platform initiated by Mitsui & Co. to support companies in their efforts to reduce CO2 emissions. By simply uploading energy bills for electricity and gas, businesses can automatically calculate their CO2 emissions (Scope 1 & 2) without cumbersome calculations, thus accumulating accurate data seamlessly. The platform also facilitates easy calculation and visualization of supply chain emissions (Scope 3).
