Gary Atkinson Imagine Scholarship Fund Expands to Trade School Scholarships for 2025

Gary Atkinson Imagine Scholarship Fund Expands Opportunities for 2025

The Gary Atkinson Imagine Scholarship Fund (GAISF) recently made significant strides in its mission at the prestigious Ledyard High School Awards Night, where it proudly introduced its 2025 scholarship recipients. This year, the Fund honored Josephine Withbroe and Jordan Yeung, while also unveiling a new scholarship aimed at supporting students eager to pursue careers in trades.

Having collected over $60,000 to date, the Fund reflects a substantial commitment to upholding the values embodied by Gary Atkinson, a beloved LHS graduate whose memory continues to inspire students and the community alike. Celebrating their philanthropy and dedication, Board Chairperson Tom Wagner and Board Member James Neil, both LHS Class of '73 and friends of Gary, presented the awards.

A Legacy of Leadership

The introduction of the trade school award aligns perfectly with GAISF's founding mission: to honor Gary Atkinson, who was not only a humanitarian but also a student leader and Eagle Scout.
