A New Chapter for the Stage: "Going to Meet Him-BEYOND THE MOON-"

Nippon Broadcasting System and director Kobayashi Kensaku are back with an exciting sequel to their hit original comedy series, featuring the talented actor, Ayato Takeda, in the lead role. The upcoming play, titled "Going to Meet Him-BEYOND THE MOON-", is sure to enthrall audiences with its unique storytelling and captivating performances.

Following the success of the original play in 2025, the new chapter promises to delve deeper into its narrative, showcasing a refined story and direction that aims to take the audience on a dynamic emotional journey filled with laughter and tears. The stage is set to come alive at Kichijoji's Kinokuniya Southern Theater from September 3, 2026, followed by performances at Ginza's Hakuhinkan Theater starting September 11, 2026.

Director Kobayashi Kensaku once again leads the project with an original score and a fresh script co-written by Yusuke Watanabe and Yuki Kinoue. The play tells the story of Ito Hiiro, who is desperate to make a difference in the world but is uncertain about how to achieve that. His journey begins with an unexpected encounter with a mysterious creature named Marmon by a lake in Finland, and he promises to help Marmon's mother, who lives on the far side of the moon.

Accompanied by Tetsuta Sugimoto, a man who resembles Marmon but sometimes falls under his control, Hiiro embarks on an incredible adventure across the United States, intent on seeking out Elon Musk, who he believes can take them to the moon. Their journey from Los Angeles to Houston is filled with twisty encounters and unforeseen challenges, eagerly prompting the audience to wonder if they'll ever meet Musk.

Among the impressive ensemble cast are renowned actors including Yoshiyuki Kajiwara, Shin Koayagi, Ikuko Sawada, Shinichi Chiyoda, and Koichiro Tominaka. Particularly exciting for fans is the inclusion of Kawai Hina, who is making her stage debut after graduating from Hinatazaka46.
