Ecomondo 2025: Shaping a Sustainable Future in Italy

From November 4 to 7, 2025, the city of Rimini will host Ecomondo, the premier event for the green economy in Europe and the Mediterranean region, organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG). This year, the event is set to feature more than 100 activities aimed at addressing global environmental issues and innovative solutions. With an exhibition space exceeding 166,000 square meters, Ecomondo serves as an international platform for dialogue and collaboration among businesses, institutions, and academia.

Technological solutions for reusing end-of-life materials will come into play with events organized by Società Chimica Italiana-CABC Division, ISWA international, and ATIA-ISWA. These sessions will provide insights on recovery systems and resource management in the Mediterranean region, enhancing circular economy strategies.

Another highlight of Ecomondo 2025 is the conference on innovative water management. Co-hosted by the European Commission and other international partners, this event will spotlight nature-based, digital, and cyber-physical projects in water management, emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices in the face of global water scarcity challenges.

Furthermore, Ecomondo will address the future of bioeconomy through a session titled ‘What Kind of Bioeconomy for Future Generations?’ targeting younger demographics in the Mediterranean and Africa. The African Green Growth Forum will also return with its fifth edition, inviting investors, policymakers, and professionals from across the continent to share experiences and case studies focused on sustainable development.
