CVS Health Launches New Workforce Innovation Center in Chicago
Introduction
On June 26, 2025, CVS Health® (NYSE: CVS) announced the grand opening of its newest Workforce Innovation and Talent Center (WITC) located in the Chicago Baptist Institute. This initiative aims to not only provide essential workforce training services but also to greatly improve access to employment for community members in Chicago.
Empowering Local Job Seekers
The Workforce Innovation and Talent Center is designed to facilitate the training of individuals aspiring to take up roles such as pharmacy technicians, customer service associates, call center representatives, and retail associates. A unique feature of the center is its simulated retail store, which allows trainees to engage in hands-on job training that emulates real-world scenarios, thereby ensuring that participants are thoroughly prepared for their future roles.
Catrina Malone, a pharmacy technician currently working with CVS, shared her inspiring journey. Initially pursuing a career in film, her path led her to the WITC after facing multiple life challenges, including a chaotic family background. Malone expressed profound gratitude for the guidance and support she received, stating, "This new role has given me hope and a platform to build my career."
Collaboration with Community Partners
CVS Health’s partnership with the Chicago Baptist Institute represents a significant step in nurturing local talent.
