APIC Achieves Impressive 55% EBITDA Growth in H1 of 2026

Strong Performance by APIC in the First Half of 2026

The Arab Palestinian Investment Company (APIC) has recently released impressive financial results for the first half of 2026, highlighting substantial growth amid ongoing challenges. This announcement has garnered attention for its strong operational achievements, showcasing resilience in a difficult economic environment.

Overview of Financial Results

In the first half of 2026, APIC reported consolidated revenues of $688.2 million, reflecting a 15% increase compared to the same period last year. The focus on enhancing operational efficiencies has paid off, with EBITDA soaring by a remarkable 55% to reach $44 million. Significant operational profits also increased by 53%, totaling $31 million. The overall net profit for the company was reported at approximately $5.5 million, while profits attributable to APIC shareholders surged by an astonishing 1866%, reaching $6.6 million. This monumental rise translates to an earnings per share increase of 1806%, bringing it to $0.040.

The growth trajectory is further reflected in the company’s total assets, which now amount to $1.05 billion, marking a 4.7% increase from the end of 2025. Total liabilities also saw a rise to $774.2 million, increasing by 5.5%. Impressively, the net equity attributable to shareholders stood at $235.3 million, a 2.6% increase from the previous year-end.

Resilience Amidst Challenges

Tarek Aggad, the Chairman and CEO of APIC, commented on the remarkable results, stating, "These results epitomize the robustness and adaptability of our business model, especially under the strains of the ongoing economic challenges in the region." He highlighted the economic recession's impact due to the Israeli occupation's hindrance of clearance revenues, which has hampered the Palestinian Authority's capacity to fulfill salary obligations and meet financial commitments within the private sector.

This adversity has adversely burdened the performance of APIC’s subsidiaries, with the Palestinian Authority's debts to these companies reaching unprecedented levels, estimated at around $174 million. Additionally, APIC encountered external economic headwinds in Turkey, resulting in non-cash losses of around $5 million due to the implementation of International Accounting Standard (IAS) 29.

APIC's Investment Portfolio

As a public shareholding investment company, APIC is listed on the Palestine Exchange (PEX APIC) and has diversified investments across various sectors, including manufacturing, trade, distribution, and services, in regions spanning Palestine, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, and Turkey. Through its subsidiaries, such as Siniora Food Industries Company and Palestine Automobile Company, APIC employs over 3,400 staff and continues to broaden its investment footprint into regional and global markets via its investment arm, APIC Capital.

Conclusion

The financial results presented by APIC not only highlight their ability to navigate through financial turmoil but also signify their dedication to growth and operational success. With a robust business strategy and strong leadership, the company is set to maintain its upward trajectory, bolstered by its commitment to diversifying its portfolio and expanding its influence beyond the local market. As APIC continues to thrive, it remains resilient in the face of challenges, setting a strong precedent for future growth in the evolving business landscape.
