Introduction
In response to Japan's growing workforce challenges, Cam Global, a subsidiary of the Camcom Group, has launched "Mintoku Messe," a new recruitment service aimed at connecting high-skilled foreign graduates from Asia with Japanese companies. This initiative is part of a comprehensive support service for hiring and retaining foreign talent, known as "Mintoku." By partnering with leading universities across Asia, the project aims to facilitate better job matches for companies seeking qualified foreign employees.
The Launch of Mintoku Messe
Mintoku Messe officially debuted in August 2025 at a joint corporate presentation held by Ganesha University in Indonesia. This event saw participation from around 1,000 university students, where Mintoku Messe showcased job openings from about ten Japanese companies and successfully registered around 100 potential candidates.
Currently, Cam Global collaborates with over 50 universities across Asia, and is actively expanding this network to include more institutions. The Mintoku Messe platform integrates both online and offline channels, working towards the efficient matching of high-skilled foreign graduates with the specific needs of Japanese businesses.
The Need for Foreign Talent
As numerous Japanese companies grapple with labor shortages, the demand for foreign employment continues to increase. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the number of foreign workers in Japan reached a record 2.3 million by October 2024, marking a 12.4% increase from the previous year. However, companies still encounter various challenges, such as establishing effective hiring processes and integrating foreign workers into their teams.
A Bridge to Global Talent
Starting in 2023, the Camcom Group began participating in job fairs at universities across Asia as part of a pilot initiative. This led to an impressive turnout of 25,000 participants in 2024 alone. Through these events and ongoing collaboration with universities, Cam Global acts as a bridge between Japanese firms and new foreign talent.
Mintoku Messe collaborates with over 50 top universities throughout Asia, particularly those in Vietnam and Indonesia, allowing for targeted recruitment of graduates proficient in Japanese and relevant technical fields, such as engineering and IT. The platform facilitates precise matches between outstanding students and Japanese companies looking to hire skilled employees.
