In an exciting development for the advertising landscape, Nankai AD Vision, managed by Nankai Corporation based in Osaka, is gearing up to launch its digital out-of-home (OOH) advertising service at the prominent Namba B1 Takashimaya location. Starting on April 13, 2026, this initiative will connect to the LIVE BOARD marketplace. This collaboration marks a significant advancement in how digital media will be distributed in high-traffic areas.

The innovative advertising strategy will employ a newly implemented impression metric known as Visibility Adjusted Contacts (VAC), allowing the company to gauge the estimated audience who directly engages with the advertising content. This methodology utilizes location data from NTT Docomo along with analytical technology to derive the estimated reach of the advertisements. Henceforth, advertisers will benefit from a flexible approach beyond the traditional selling methods based on fixed periods and broadcasting frequencies.

The Nankai AD Vision display is strategically located on a vital transit route linking Namba Station and various Osaka Metro lines, including the Midosuji, Sennichimae, and Yotsubashi lines, in addition to the Kintetsu Namba line and Hanshin Namba line. With 70-inch screens distributed across 24 panels, this digital signage not only commands high visibility but also connects with a diverse range of target audiences, from affluent shoppers visiting the Takashimaya Osaka store to daily commuters and students.

Currently, Namba Station already boasts other dynamic advertising platforms such as the Namba Galleria Twin Vision and the Nankai AD Vision at the North Gate of the third floor, which were integrated into the LIVE BOARD marketplace in February 2025. The addition of the Namba B1 Takashimaya will significantly expand the number of advertising touchpoints throughout the station, enabling more timely and relevant ad delivery for mobile audiences.

With the enhanced capability to design advertising strategies based specifically on the movement patterns of commuters, the partnership between Nankai and LIVE BOARD is set to leverage programmability to deliver tailored, contextually relevant advertisements. This marks a shift towards a more user-focused advertising environment that aligns with contemporary consumer lifestyles.
