Athletes and law enforcement officers will carry the torch side by side, traveling approximately 10,000 miles through 13 states and multiple time zones. Route Details
The plan includes the Flame of Hope splitting into two national routes shortly after leaving Chicago. Route 1, heading west and south, encompasses stops in significant cities including Los Angeles (June 1), Sacramento (June 3), Seattle (June 5), Wichita (June 7), Dallas/Fort Worth (June 9), Atlanta (June 11), and culminates in Nashville (June 13). Meanwhile, Route 2 takes the east and Great Lakes path, featuring stops in New York City (June 5), Point Pleasant (June 6), Philadelphia (June 7), Harrisburg (June 8), Pittsburgh (June 9), Cleveland (June 11), and Detroit (June 12).
These two routes converge in Minnesota, where both teams will meet at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on June 14. This moment will signify a homecoming celebration accompanied by stops in Duluth (June 16), Hibbing, Brainerd, Alexandria (June 17), and Watertown, Rochester, and Red Wing (June 18).
The final push takes the LETR through key Minnesota landmarks, such as the Mall of America and Stillwater (June 19), before culminating at the National Sports Center in Blaine on June 20. The event will finish with the torch crossing the Mississippi River by canoe, followed by the lighting of the cauldron at the University of Minnesota’s Huntington Bank Stadium to inaugurate the USA Games.
