Organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Sports Culture Foundation, this event allows participants of all ages to engage in a myriad of exciting aquatic activities across five state-run sports facilities.

What is the 'WakuWaku Water Sports Challenge'?


This unique sports experience program is designed to let attendees feel the thrill of various water sports. With activities ranging from Stand-up Paddleboarding (SUP), canoeing, swimming, sailing, and even ice skating, it's an event tailored for both children and adults. The program aims to introduce the many joys these venues hold, illustrating their appeal while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Additionally, the event will feature the ‘Yurito's Treasure Hunt,’ an engaging activity where participants solve riddles related to the facilities in a treasure-hunting format, enhancing their connection to the venues.

The challenge will span multiple popular facilities, namely:
  • - Uminomori Water Sports Center
  • - Wakasu Seaside Park Yacht Training Center
  • - Canoe Slalom Center
  • - Tokyo Aquatics Center
  • - Tanaka Precious Metals Ice Arena

Pre-Event Preview: Urban Dock Lalaport Toyosu


Kicking off the excitement, a preliminary event will take place at the Urban Dock Lalaport Toyosu from September 11 to 13. This special gathering will introduce various sports that you can experience at Tokyo's facilities, ultimately bringing families together for sport-related fun. Highlights of the pre-event include:

  • - A PR corner sharing insights about the sports facilities
  • - Engaging content themed around sailing, canoeing, swimming, curling, and running
  • - A chance to receive exclusive Yurito merchandise through participating in various activities

During these days, visitors can enjoy:
  • - September 11 (13:00 - 19:00)
  • - September 12 and 13 (10:00 - 17:30)

This event is free to enter, ensuring access for everyone!

Main Events


Across the various venues, multiple exciting events will take place, including:

1. Uminomori Baseball Festival on September 19
- Celebrate with the joyous spirit of baseball while enjoying SUP activities and other fun attractions.
2. SEA-FRONT MUSEUM at Wakasu Seaside Park on October 3 and 4
- Take part in free sailing experiences and family-friendly workshops.
3. Canoe Festival on October 4
- Experience thrilling rafting and other water activities at the Canoe Slalom Center.
4. Tatsumiathlon on November 7
- Compete in swimming, running, and skating activities at three involved venues.

Solve the Puzzle! ‘Yurito’s Treasure Hunt’


Beyond just sports, every event will host the ‘Yurito's Treasure Hunt.’ This exciting challenge invites participants to solve puzzles linked to each facility, offering a unique form of interaction as they strive to discover hidden treasures. Successful hunters will be rewarded with a charming Yurito marshmallow sticker.
