Celebrating Women in Health: 2027 Nominations Open for Inspiring Women of Health Awards
Celebrating Women's Contributions to Health Equity in South Florida
The Health Foundation of South Florida has announced the opening of nominations for the 2027 Inspiring Women of Health Awards. This recognition celebrates the relentless efforts of women who play crucial roles in driving health equity across South Florida, particularly in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties. The nomination period runs until November 16, 2026, and anyone can participate in this celebration of women's contributions to the health sector.
For the past seven years, these awards have provided an important platform to honor the leadership, innovation, and advocacy of women who are making significant strides in improving health outcomes in their communities. The awards ceremony, which aligns with Women’s History Month in March, will culminate in a luncheon scheduled for March 18, 2027.
The Impact of Award Winners
The Inspiring Women of Health Awards have recognized over 80 dynamic women since their inception. Honorees have varied backgrounds, including CEOs, public officials, nonprofit executives, and frontline healthcare professionals. Each recipient has showcased exceptional contributions and measurable results in sectors like maternal and child health, mental health, and social drivers of health equity.

Their vision and persistence are moving us closer to a future where every person, regardless of zip code, has the opportunity to thrive. We're proud to celebrate them and look forward to welcoming the next class of honorees."
Nomination Criteria
Nominees for the 2027 awards will be assessed on their demonstrated impact within the community, partnership with key stakeholders, equity-centered leadership practices, and measurable progress on vital health issues, including access to care, disease prevention, and economic opportunities for marginalized populations.
