Celebrate Christmas 2025 at Futako-Tamagawa Rise with MOOMIN

Futako-Tamagawa Rise, a large-scale mixed-use facility directly connected to the Futako-Tamagawa Station via the Tokyu Den-en-toshi and Oimachi lines, is set to launch its Christmas 2025 celebration titled ‘HEARTLIGHT HOLIDAY with MOOMIN’ starting from November 8, 2025. This event promises to be a spectacular showcase of festive spirit, featuring an array of captivating decorations and activities.

Highlights of the Event

HEARTLIGHT TREE

At the Futako-Tamagawa Rise Galleria, visitors will be greeted by the magnificent HEARTLIGHT TREE, measuring about 9 meters tall. This tree is adorned with approximately 40 unique ornaments, inspired by the beloved stories of the MOOMIN Valley. The ornaments represent special moments from the tales, welcoming guests with a nostalgic aura.

Winter Illuminations

The outdoor areas will be transformed by approximately 64,000 LED lights, creating a mesmerizing winter illumination experience. These lights emit a soft champagne gold hue that envelops the vicinity in a warm glow. In addition, there’s the 'NYORONYORO Eruption Spot,' featuring around 60 whimsical creatures called NYORONYORO, depicted in four distinctive designs, inviting visitors into the enchanting world of MOOMIN’s stories.

Thematic Activities

The Futako-Tamagawa Rise Galleria and Shopping Center will host a collaborative digital stamp rally themed ‘HAPPY FINDING,’ which showcases meaningful quotes from the friends of MOOMIN Valley. Participants will enjoy the thrill of discovery and can earn unique digital wallpapers and original holiday cards by completing certain tasks. For those looking to capture special memories, unique photo spots featuring characters from MOOMIN Valley will also be available this winter, perfect for festive snapshots.

ARTISTIC ELEMENTS

The HEARTLIGHT TREE stands as the centerpiece of the celebration, featuring sound and light performances every 15 minutes. These performances dramatize the excitement and anticipation as the characters prepare for their first Christmas, gradually revealing the dazzling tree adorned with their beloved items. Unique decorations include a red silk rose given to Moominmama by Moominpappa, Moominpappa's signature hat, and various other cherished items from the stories, all of which contribute to a heartwarming visual feast.

NYORONYORO Spots

The winter illuminations span across Ribbon Street, Oak Mall, Bird Mall, and the grand staircase, beautifully lighting up the area with a warm champagne gold tone. Each illumination area includes interactive NYORONYORO spots, showcasing the humorous and engaging nature of these adorable creatures in action, including designs where they gather around hats or hold cocktails.
