Finvi Names Laura Granahan as Chief Executive Officer
On October 15, 2026, Finvi, a prominent company specializing in enterprise workflow automation and payment solutions, officially appointed Laura Granahan as its new Chief Executive Officer. This strategic decision follows Granahan's profound leadership journey that spans over three decades in both military and corporate spheres.
Laura Granahan's academic foundations were laid at the prestigious United States Naval Academy, where she was part of one of the first classes to include women. Her military career is notable for her historic assignment as the first female officer on a Combat Logistics Force ship. Her transition from military service to the corporate world was marked by significant achievements, including earning an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. Granahan's early career included over ten years at Staples, where she gained valuable experience in finance and business leadership. She subsequently held influential executive roles in various organizations, notably in the fields of accounts receivable and revenue cycle management at companies like athenahealth and SharkNinja.
Before her appointment as CEO, Granahan served as Finvi’s Chief Financial Officer, leading efforts alongside Executive Chairman Jim Lacy since June through the Office of the CEO. The formalization of her position was met with enthusiasm from the board, particularly from Lacy, who praised her diverse leadership background.
"Laura's leadership experience is unusually broad," Jim Lacy stated. "She's led teams in the military, held both finance and business leadership roles in large companies, and guided organizations through real change. That combination is exactly what Finvi needs right now."
Granahan emphasizes a customer-centric approach, telling stakeholders,
"I’ve learned that leadership begins with listening and that a business exists primarily to serve its customers."
Granahan’s immediate plans include engaging with the company’s workforce and customers to gain insights from those who've played a pivotal role in shaping Finvi. She has expressed her intent to leverage the experience of respected figures in the industry, such as Rozanne Andersen, former Chief Compliance Officer at Ontario Systems.
As she transitions into her new role, Granahan is also poised to provide updates that focus on deepening Finvi's customer relationships and enhancing their services. She believes that customer trust is earned through consistency in service.
"Our focus now is listening to our customers, investing in our people and products, and continuing to earn the trust they place in us every day," Granahan remarked.
With her vision, Finvi aims to further enhance its strong presence in the revenue recovery sector, where it serves over 450 collection agencies as well as financial institutions managing substantial receivables. Granahan’s appointment marks a new chapter for Finvi, one that promises to focus on innovation and responsive leadership.
Finvi plans to officially introduce Granahan’s strategies at its upcoming user conference, PowerUp, expected to take place in 2027, thus setting the stage for a future defined by collaboration and trust.
