Culver's Celebrates Scoops of Thanks Day with $1 Frozen Custard for Agriculture Education

Scoops of Thanks Day: A Sweet Way to Support Agriculture Education

On Thursday, May 1, Culver's will once again host its annual Scoops of Thanks Day, an event dedicated to making a positive impact on agricultural education programs across the nation. This special day marks the 11th consecutive year that Culver's has invited guests to contribute to a good cause while enjoying a delicious scoop of their famous frozen custard.

For just a $1 donation, patrons can choose from a selection of flavors, including the beloved How Now Brown Cow, a delightful mix of chocolate custard infused with Culver's signature root beer, alongside chunks of Dove® chocolate and chocolate cake pieces. Beyond the classic chocolate and vanilla offerings, this specific flavor promises to excite the taste buds while supporting local chapters of the Future Farmers of America (FFA).

The Thank You Farmers Project spearheaded by Culver's underscores their commitment to nurturing future leaders in agriculture. Since the project’s inception in 2013, it has successfully raised over $6.5 million to enhance agricultural education. This significant financial support substantially benefits local FFA chapters, ensuring that young aspiring farmers and agricultural leaders receive the resources they need to thrive.

Alison Demmer, Culver's senior marketing and public relations manager, expressed her pride in the initiative, highlighting how it empowers contributors to positively impact their communities while enjoying a sweet treat. “We’re proud to support the hardworking students and educators shaping the future of agriculture,” Demmer stated. “Through Scoops of Thanks Day, we offer guests a simple yet rewarding way to get involved.”

Last year, Scoops of Thanks Day saw over 169,400 scoops served nationwide. With such enthusiasm, Culver's aims to surpass this number in 2025, creating even more opportunities for community involvement and support for agricultural education.

To participate, guests can order their scoop through the Culver's website or mobile app. Not only do you get to enjoy a treat, but your contribution directly benefits grassroots agriculture initiatives.

The National FFA Organization plays a crucial role in this event, with over 1,027,200 student members across more than 9,235 local chapters. Their mission is to positively influence students’ lives by developing their leadership, personal growth, and career success in agriculture. As part of the support from Scoops of Thanks Day, local FFA chapters will receive additional funding through the proceeds from each scoop sold.

As the day approaches, both longstanding and new guests are encouraged to visit any participating Culver's location to be part of this rewarding event. Joining in on Scoops of Thanks Day not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also fosters a sense of community, supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders while indulging in delicious custard. Join Culver's in promoting agricultural education and celebrate the hardworking individuals dedicating their lives to this essential industry!
