Benesse Group's New Initiative for Women's Career Empowerment
Benesse Style Care Group, a subsidiary of Benesse Corporation located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has been awarded the responsibility of operating the "2025 Corporate Partnership Support Project for Working Women". This initiative, under the auspices of the Tokyo government, aims to further promote the career advancement of women in the workforce and tackles health-related issues that may lead to unwanted resignations.
This initiative offers extensive support to both companies and female employees who seek to establish their careers with a focus on health and personal circumstances. The programs will help businesses formulate action plans to promote women's empowerment in line with the Japanese law and enhance the organizational understanding of health challenges faced by women.
Objectives and Strategies
Through the partnership with Benesse Senior Support, another group company, the goal is to develop a comprehensive support system. This includes planning seminars that focus on awareness transformation within companies regarding health issues and women's participation in the workforce. Services also encompass mentoring and consulting specifically targeting female employees, allowing them to navigate their career paths effectively.
The support initiatives are free of charge, encouraging more significant participation from both companies aiming to advance women's roles and individual women striving for personal career goals. The programs will commence on June 26, 2025, with various events slated to run until March 15, 2026.
Key Programs
Promoting a World without Caregiving-Related Resignation
Since 1995, Benesse Style Care has been actively engaged in providing care services for elderly individuals and their families through residential and home care initiatives. Additionally, the company has extensive experience in child care services lasting over 30 years. With many female employees balancing careers with family responsibilities in caregiving and child rearing, the organization is keenly aware of the unique challenges these women face.
The accumulated knowledge and experience gained over the years are invaluable assets that will significantly contribute to the successful implementation of this project. The involvement in this initiative aligns perfectly with Benesse Group's philosophy of supporting individuals in their personal growth and problem-solving throughout their lives.
Benesse Senior Support, established in 2014, is driven by the vision of enabling everyone to lead a fulfilling life, regardless of caregiving challenges. Through this new project, the firm is set to empower professionals from diverse backgrounds, striving toward a future that is more accommodating for working families.
