Joseph Dalto Appointed as President for New Healthcare Campus in Atlanta

Joseph Dalto to Lead Universal Technical Institute's New Atlanta Campus

Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (UTI), a prominent workforce solutions leader, has announced the appointment of Joseph Dalto as the President of its forthcoming Concorde-Atlanta healthcare campus. This new location is significant as it represents UTI's second Atlanta campus, expected to open its doors in Summer 2027.

Joseph Dalto brings over 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, finance, and operations, showcasing a remarkable track record of fostering organizational culture and creating programs that effectively blend academic rigor with practical clinical training. According to Kevin Prehn, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of UTI, Dalto is well-suited for this role due to his focus on empowering teams and providing supportive pathways for students. Prehn emphasized Dalto's impressive qualifications and his ability to lead the new campus effectively.

Before joining UTI, Dalto served as the Vice President of Finance and Operations at OIC of South Florida. His educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University-Freeman School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi. His experience and education position him well to lead Concorde-Atlanta, aiming to expand access to quality healthcare education in the Atlanta region.

In his own words, Dalto expressed his enthusiasm: "I’m honored to lead Concorde’s first campus in Georgia and help expand access to quality healthcare education in the Atlanta community. My goal is to create an environment where students are empowered to pursue rewarding healthcare careers, while building meaningful partnerships with local employers and healthcare organizations that strengthen the region’s workforce."

The Concorde-Atlanta campus will span more than 47,000 square feet and aims to accommodate up to 700 students. The programs offered will include nursing, dental, diagnostic, patient care, and allied health courses, contingent on regulatory approval. This campus is a part of UTI's broader multi-year North Star strategy, which is focused on addressing the shortage of skilled workers in America.

Currently in its second phase, the North Star strategy emphasizes growth, diversification, and optimization, planning to open several campuses annually from 2026 to 2029. UTI's recent expansion initiatives also include the newly opened UTI-Atlanta campus, dedicated to skilled trade education and capable of serving 1,500 students in fields such as automotive, diesel, aviation, electrical, robotics, and HVACR.

As UTI continues to align its programs with industry needs through its network of 35 campuses across the nation, Dalto's leadership is poised to create a lasting impact on the Atlanta community. With a commitment to developing partnerships that reinforce local industry ties and facilitate the training of future healthcare professionals, Concorde-Atlanta is set to become a vital part of the region’s infrastructure and talent development efforts.
