FOD SHORT Introduces Its First Short Anime Series

FOD SHORT, the innovative vertical short drama app operated by Fuji Television, has made its debut in the world of short anime. Starting from April 3rd, two captivating stories, "Did You Really Like Me?" and "This is the Second and Last First Love," will be accessible at midnight, marking an exciting new chapter for this platform.

FOD SHORT is designed with the concept of delivering drama that lingers in the heart, averaging about one minute per episode. Ideal for mobile viewing, it allows users to enjoy quick, engaging content during their daily commutes or breaks. Viewers can access five episodes for free each day, and with the introduction of anime, it expands its offerings to include more touching stories in this fresh genre of entertainment.

The first two series explore the theme of second chances in relationships:

"Did You Really Like Me?"

This fantasy narrative follows a woman who learns her husband’s true feelings just before her demise, allowing her to return to an earlier point in her life. As she navigates her second chance, she must build a better relationship with her husband, whose demeanor remains cold despite her newfound knowledge of his affections.

After marrying into a rival marquis family, the protagonist resigns herself to her fate until a sudden assault by magical beasts leads her to her death. Amid the chaos, her husband desperately calls her name, challenging her belief that he despises her. Awakening in the past, she realizes she must cultivate a positive relationship with him if she wishes to survive the impending attack. Yet, as she attempts to connect, his indifference complicates her mission.

In this poignant tale, the protagonist finds herself back in her 17-year-old body, yet retains the memories of her 32-year-old self. As she encounters her first love, she is determined to seize this opportunity and not let it slip away again.

Story Overview

After being emotionally shattered by her friend’s betrayal, the main character, Kotone Amamiya, has an accident that sends her back to a pivotal time in her life. She awakens to find herself in her second year of high school, face-to-face with her former crush, Minato Naruse. With the experience and maturity of adulthood, she vows to hold onto this love fiercely, refusing to be swept away by life's currents again.
