Brightstar Lottery PLC (NYSE: BRSL), a prominent name in the global lottery industry, has announced its latest achievement: a substantial nine-year agreement allowing its subsidiary, LottoItalia S.r.l., to manage the operations of the Italy Lotto. This crucial agreement comes after a competitive bidding process, which culminated in July 2025.

LottoItalia, under the leadership of Brightstar, is a consortium that also includes Allwyn, Arianna 2001, and Novomatic Italia. The Italian authorities, specifically the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM), previously awarded the Italy Lotto license to this consortium, marking a significant partnership that reinforces the stature of Brightstar within the lottery arena.

Italy Lotto holds the title of the largest fixed odds number game globally, offering unique and exciting opportunities for players. Brightstar and its predecessor entities have managed this esteemed license for over three decades. The new agreement ensures that this tradition continues, cementing the company's role in overseeing the lottery until November 2034. Renato Ascoli, the CEO of Brightstar's Global Lottery division, expressed his enthusiasm about this agreement, stating, "We are delighted to finalize our agreement with ADM and honored to continue being entrusted to operate Italy Lotto, one of the world's largest lotteries."
