Limited-Time Café Experience at Nihonbashi Ferry Terminal Launches in 2026

A Unique Café Experience at Nihonbashi Ferry Terminal

The Nihonbashi Ferry Terminal, a landmark since its opening in 2011, has welcomed countless vessels and approximately 800,000 visitors. This ferry terminal will be the location of a special limited-time café for three days, from February 12 to February 14, 2026. Organized by the Nihonbashi Preservation Association, led by Chairman Takao Nakamura, this café will be supported by the Metropolitan Expressway Company, offering a delightful experience for office workers and all visitors in the area.

This event seeks to utilize the ferry terminal's off-peak times by transforming the stationary boats into a cozy café. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy original drinks such as the “Nihonbashi Bitter” coffee, sweet sake, and desserts inspired by the Nihonbashi area. This initiative aims to promote both the ferry terminal and the surrounding Takino Hiroba area, encouraging more people to appreciate this fascinating locale.

As we look forward to the future relocation of the ferry terminal to Edobashi next year, this event offers a rare opportunity to view the entire structure of the iconic Nihonbashi bridge. Guests will be able to enjoy perspectives that are typically unavailable, enhancing their appreciation for this important cultural heritage site.

One of the standout offerings is the “Nihonbashi Bitter” coffee, crafted with care to ensure a high-quality brew. The coffee selection employs a meticulous extraction process and premium coffee beans. Imagine savoring a special cup of coffee while admiring the view of the historic Nihonbashi bridge from the water. Don’t miss this unique combination of taste and scenery!
