Join the Virtual Photo Walk: A Unique Online Experience Connecting People Globally

Join the Virtual Photo Walk: Bridging Worlds Through Online Experiences

In a bid to address social isolation and loneliness, the Cabinet Office of Japan is organizing a month dedicated to countering these issues in May. This year, the Virtual Photo Walk organization is stepping up with an exciting initiative: the "Live Walk" series. Over the course of eight sessions held from May 6 to May 11, 2026, participants can explore renowned locations in Japan and abroad—all from the comfort of their homes.

Discover Unique Locations Live

The Virtual Photo Walk program aims to reach those who face difficulties due to disabilities, illnesses, age, or caregiving responsibilities, allowing them to experience live sights and engaging conversations. Through the use of online streaming, participants will have the chance to view beautiful destinations like Rikugien Garden in Japan and explore unique areas like Malawi in Africa, known for its warmth, and the striking blue-roofed Wat Pa Phu Kon temple in Thailand.

The event promises real-time interactions with local presenters, fostering a feeling of connection despite physical distance. Each session is designed to create a comforting atmosphere, where participants can engage with the beauty of nature and culture, and enjoy meaningful conversations. Best of all, anyone can join these incredible experiences via YouTube, making this event accessible to all.
