The 'Colors of the Sky' POP Award Ceremony
On March 15th, 2024, at 2 PM, a significant event will take place at the Aeon Mall Tamahira no Mori. The award ceremony for the 'Colors of the Sky' POP Award will celebrate the creativity and artistic talents of participants from across the nation. This project, a collaboration between the talented artist and writer Kanai An and Hino City, aims to inspire and engage the community, especially the youth.
About the 'Colors of the Sky' POP Award
The 'Colors of the Sky' initiative is a special project launched in cooperation with Kanai An and local institutions. This year, the initiative saw the distribution of the book 'Colors of the Sky' (published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha) to local elementary and junior high schools, as well as libraries within the city. This effort included unique workshops specifically designed for students, enhancing their engagement with literature and art.
The POP Award serves as a platform for expression and creativity, inviting participants to create promotional posters inspired by the award-winning book, which was honored with the 74th Shogakukan Children’s Publishing Culture Prize. A total of 45 incredible works submitted from all over Japan were evaluated, showcasing the diverse interpretations and artistic talents.
