Chicken N Pickle's Mustache Month: A Fun Way to Give Back
February is here, and with it comes a unique initiative by Chicken N Pickle, the beloved indoor/outdoor "eatertainment" venue known for its casual dining and pickleball courts. This February marks the kickoff of Mustache Month, a heartwarming campaign aimed at raising funds and awareness for pediatric hospice organizations across 11 markets in the United States.
For six consecutive years, Chicken N Pickle employees have embraced the challenge of growing mustaches throughout the month to shine a light on the critical work these organizations do for children facing life-threatening illnesses. The event encourages employees to start the month without any facial hair and to let their mustaches flourish as a sign of solidarity and support. Each Monday, participants share progress photos on social media, creating a sense of community and engagement.
Kelli Alldredge, the president of Chicken N Pickle, expressed the importance of this initiative, stating, "Mustaches start a conversation, giving us the opportunity to share awareness and drive discussion about pediatric hospice and these charities. We hope to inspire other companies to join us in this mission."
Beyond the mustache-growing challenge, guests at Chicken N Pickle can also contribute to this noble cause simply by purchasing a non-alcoholic drink served in a special Mustache Month "community cup." A portion of the proceeds from these sales will benefit local nonprofits consistently throughout the year. In 2024 alone, this program raised a remarkable $15,500 for pediatric hospice organizations, signaling the ongoing commitment of Chicken N Pickle to its philanthropic efforts.

Throughout this year's campaign, Chicken N Pickle will directly support several renowned pediatric hospice organizations. Some of the charities benefiting from Mustache Month include:

A Commitment to Community
Since its establishment in 2017, Chicken N Pickle has been rooted in community engagement, giving back more than $5 million to local charities over the years. In 2024, the organization supported approximately 9,000 charitable initiatives and hosted over 8,890 fundraisers, fueling local communities with more than $1.1 million through donations and community programs.
Every Chicken N Pickle location employs a full-time community impact coordinator whose mission is to discover and implement ways to positively affect their neighborhoods every day. "One of our key tenets is to give back to the communities we serve," Alldredge notes. The spirit of Mustache Month combines friendly competition with heartfelt contributions, aiming to support local nonprofits that assist families during their most challenging times.
Additionally, the Chicken N Pickle Foundation, established in 2020, collaborates with local health and wellness charities to address community needs long-term. Their mantra, "our hearts are local," is evident through various programs designed to assist both local charities and employees alike. This includes the Employee Hardship Fund, which provides financial assistance during unexpected life challenges, and scholarship opportunities for employees seeking financial support in their educational efforts.
