Join the JICA Volunteer Program: Spring 2026 Recruitment Events
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is excited to announce the recruitment for its Volunteer Program for Spring 2026, starting from February 27, 2026. As part of this initiative, information sessions will be held across the Kansai region to provide prospective candidates with insights into the program and application process.
Since its inception, JICA's Volunteer Program has been dedicated to sending individuals with a passion for international cooperation to developing countries. Volunteers engage deeply with local communities, addressing social issues through hands-on projects while living alongside the people they serve. Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2025, JICA has successfully dispatched approximately 58,000 volunteers over the years. Many participants have leveraged their experiences to make significant contributions in various fields upon returning to Japan and abroad.
The upcoming information sessions will include not only an overview of the JICA Volunteer initiatives but also firsthand accounts from former volunteers. This presents a unique opportunity for attendees to learn about the challenges and rewards of working in international cooperation. Participants are encouraged to ask questions individually, addressing any concerns they may have regarding the application process or their potential roles abroad.
JICA’s catchphrase, "One chance can change a life," resonates with those interested in stepping into the world of international cooperation. If you have aspirations to make a difference in developing nations or want to experience innovative humanitarian work, these information sessions are ideal for you.
