Cognitee Pushes Employment and Entrepreneurship Support Initiatives in Four Municipalities

Cognitee's Initiatives

Cognitee Inc., headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, has been actively advancing employment and entrepreneurship support initiatives in four municipalities including Kushiro City, Yaita City, Hagi City, and Shinagawa Ward. With a mission aimed at creating a society where individuals can work regardless of their residence or life stage, the company is gearing up for the official launch of its support services starting in 2026.

Progress and Plans for 2026

In 2025, Cognitee focused on preparation activities for employment support services that will kick-off in 2026 in both Kushiro and Yaita. Moving forward, the firm also formalized collaborative agreements in Hagi City, where they have built a partnership over more than five years. In Shinagawa, Cognitee continued its support by structuring and analyzing startup Pitch content to enhance its visibility and identify areas for improvement. These developments underscore Cognitee's commitment to tailoring projects to meet the specific challenges faced by each community.

Employment Support for Single Mothers in Kushiro

In Kushiro City, Cognitee is participating in the "Single Mother Support Program" led by Grameen Japan. This program provides a scaffold-like support system covering both lifestyle and employment needs. The year 2025 marked the preparatory phase, including increasing awareness and handling local interviews. Starting in 2026, the program will encompass a wide range of support services: from skills assessment to basic office skills training, matching with local businesses, and post-employment retention support.

Utilizing its expertise in online operations developed over 13 years, Cognitee aims to educate participants and companies on effective telework and streamlined working methods. Additionally, Cognitee will employ its unique analysis technology to objectively visualize the comprehensibility of application documents and interview speeches, providing detailed feedback on how to improve self-presentation. By analyzing the speech patterns and decision-making styles of successful employees within companies, Cognitee can assist firms in making less mismatched hiring decisions.

Career Restart Support for Women in Yaita

In Yaita City, Cognitee will launch a "Digital Skill Workshop" aimed at women looking to resume their careers after setbacks due to caregiving or other responsibilities. Starting in 2026, these workshops will teach essential skills like business documentation, spreadsheets, presentation materials, and online meeting management. The program's flexible format, including childcare options and remote participation, makes it accessible to a broader audience.

Cognitee will similarly analyze self-PR submissions and interview expressions for participants, ensuring individual strengths are effectively communicated. By leveraging their extensive online management experience, Cognitee will propose methods for creating sustainable working environments that prioritize telework and flexible arrangements. Moreover, the alignment of workplace experiences with the communication structures of local employees will foster high-quality job matching for participants.

Expanding Operations in Hagi City

On December 24, 2025, a tripartite agreement was signed by Hagi City, the Yamaguchi Prefectural Industrial Labor Department, and Cognitee to establish satellite offices, consolidating their partnership. Cognitee's involvement with Hagi began in 2020 with a guest lecture at the "Hagi Academy of Enthusiasm" and has continued through participation in various telework programs. With this agreement, Cognitee will provide communication improvement support for local administrations and enterprises while visualizing the strengths of the local workforce.

Pitch Analysis in Shinagawa

Cognitee has been in charge of pitch analysis for the "Business Creation Contest" co-hosted by Shinagawa Ward for five consecutive years, continuing through 2025. This involves utilizing AI to quantify the content of initial selection interviews and visualizing logical flow, gaps in explanations, and the strengths and weaknesses of the structures presented. This year, Cognitee will conduct online workshops, allowing participants to identify weak spots in their pitches based on analysis, ultimately fostering high-quality pitch development.

Future Vision for 2026

Cognitee envisions broadening its “analysis × support model” across various regions, aiming for a society where individuals can pursue career opportunities irrespective of their circumstances. Their ongoing collaborations with local municipalities are key to expanding these initiatives.
