The Higashimurayama Digital Women Project: 3rd Cohort Now Open for Applications
The MAIA Corporation, a Tokyo-based company dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for women in the digital workforce, has officially announced the opening of applications for the third cohort of the Higashimurayama Digital Women Project. This initiative aims to empower women by enhancing their digital skills and supporting local businesses and municipalities in their digital transformation efforts. MAIA is collaborating with Forval Corporation to bring this project to life.
What is the Higashimurayama Digital Women Project?
Launched in collaboration with Forval, the Higashimurayama Digital Women Project began with the goal of creating new opportunities for women through the acquisition of IT skills and support for small and medium enterprises in various regions. Since forming a partnership in May 2023, the two companies have focused on combining their resources to maximize support for women's empowerment in the digital realm.
With Forval recently securing a contract for a project aimed at promoting digitalization among small and medium enterprises and training female digital talent in Higashimurayama City in 2025, the next phase of the program is set to kick off this summer, with applications now open.
Program Overview
The program is specifically designed for women residing in Higashimurayama City who are eager to not just learn skills but to pursue employment opportunities, including side jobs and freelance work. Participants will have the chance to learn highly sought-after IT skills, notably SAP, through an e-learning platform provided by MAIA. Additionally, the curriculum extends beyond technical skills to include essential training on mindset, business acumen, and financial literacy to help participants reassess their values regarding money.
