Featured Works

Erika Yamaguchi's exhibition will showcase three new themes representing her life and philosophy, vividly displayed through photographic and visual art.

1. ‘Couldn’t be happier’: This piece explores the constant pursuit of happiness amidst life’s setbacks and regrets. Yamaguchi uses characters from Greek mythology to depict her journey of redefining what happiness means to her.
2. ‘Ladidadidance’: This captivating film portrays the dance between hope and despair, reflecting on the ironies of life and the challenges of self-expression through movement. The retro-romantic visuals stored within this dance showcase the juxtaposition of joy and reality.
3. ‘Flowers for the Dead Me’: Through this poignant work, Yamaguchi navigates her feelings surrounding loss, contemplating the nature of death and acceptance, addressing the paradox of grief and the inevitability of mortality.

In addition to her new artwork, the exhibition will feature six of her previous film and directorial works, providing context to her evolution as an artist. Each photograph in the show has been printed with the high-quality Canon imagePROGRAF PRO series, further enhancing the visual experience for attendees.

Please note that the exhibition contains some strong themes and expressions that may be stimulating or sensitive for certain audiences.
