Illuminating the Heart of Tokyo: 'TOKYO ILLUMILIA 2025-2026'

From November 6, 2025, until February 14, 2026, the enchanting illumination event 'TOKYO ILLUMILIA 2025-2026' will take place in the vibrant Yaesu and Nihonbashi areas. This spectacular display will celebrate the rich history and culture of Edo, embodying the spirit that continues to bring life to this beloved part of Tokyo. The illumination, which has been held since 2009, invites visitors to reflect on the connection between the city’s past, present, and future.

A Magical Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony will kick off on November 6 at 6 PM at the Nihonbashi Plaza, where the lights will be officially turned on. This year's event will feature a special collaboration with Johto Elementary School, continuing a tradition from the previous year. Students will contribute artwork based on the theme of 'the future,' which will be showcased on informational panels throughout the venue, creatively intertwining their visions with the 'TOKYO ILLUMILIA 2025-2026' logo. This artistic blend aims to highlight a luminous connection to the future.



 

Illuminated Pathways

The impressive illuminations will light up Sakura Street and Yaesu Nakadori, creating a stunning display every evening from 4:30 PM to 11:30 PM. These areas will be transformed into a magical paradise with glowing lights, inviting residents and visitors alike to stroll through and experience the beauty of the season.
