Boost Your Child's Skills This Summer with HALLO Programming Typing Challenge 2026

Enhance Your Child's Skills with the HALLO Typing Challenge 2026

This summer, prepare to boost your child's abilities with the "Programming Education HALLO Typing Challenge 2026". Designed for children from kindergarten to middle school, this event is free for anyone who wishes to participate. In collaboration with Preferred Networks, a leader in AI technology, the HALLO program aims to enhance your child's typing skills through an engaging online format.

The Importance of Typing Skills

As children begin their programming education, one of the challenges they often face is typing. Without proficient typing skills, even the most brilliant ideas and codes remain unexpressed. Lack of competence in this essential skill can hinder the desire to learn. To address this, HALLO presents the "Typing Challenge 2026," particularly accommodating for beginners to progressively enhance their abilities.

A Two-Stage Learning Experience

The Typing Challenge 2026 consists of two stages: Tyiping Camp and Typing Contest. The Typing Camp offers daily online training sessions with coaches and peers across the country, ensuring a solid foundation in typing.

During the camp, participants will engage in rigorous practice every morning through Zoom, dedicating 30 minutes to intensive typing exercises. After gaining the skills needed, the students can participate in the Typing Contest, held in a time-attack format, allowing them to challenge themselves repeatedly. This dual structure ensures that children can witness their growth and consistently strive to achieve their personal bests.

“In our current educational landscape, typing has shifted from being 'nice to have' to a necessary skill that every child must possess. Several changes in the schooling system highlight this need. For instance, the GIGA School Initiative has integrated tablets and computers into daily lessons, emphasizing the importance of conveying ideas through typed words. Additionally, many examinations, including national assessments and certifications like Eiken, are now moving towards computer-based testing. Thus, being slow at typing could lead to underperforming in these assessments,” explains a representative from HALLO.
