Midea Group's Financial Triumph: A Deep Dive into H1 2025 Results

Midea Group, a leading name in the home appliance and technology sector, has announced groundbreaking financial results for the first half of 2025. Surpassing a staggering 100 billion RMB in revenue for two back-to-back quarters, the company recorded a total revenue of 252 billion RMB in the first half of the year. This remarkable achievement reflects a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, with profits seeing a significant rise of 25% to reach 26 billion RMB.

Strong Performance Across Markets

In evaluating its market presence, Midea Group demonstrated resilience and growth, particularly in mainland China, where revenues grew by 14.2%. Internationally, the company enjoyed a substantial surge, with revenue increasing by 17.7%. This growth was bolstered by Midea Group's Original Brand Manufacturing (OBM) operations, which saw online sales revenue spike by more than 30% compared to previous years.

The consumer segment of Midea's business achieved a revenue of 167 billion RMB, marking a 13.3% increase. Similarly, their commercial and industrial solutions segment experienced an impressive growth rate of 20%. Notably, new energy technologies and industrial solutions accumulated 22 billion RMB, with smart building technology generating 19.5 billion RMB and the robotics and automation sector amassing 15.1 billion RMB.

Highlighting its commitment to innovation, Midea Group invested 8.8 billion RMB in research and development during the first half of 2025. This marks a 14% increase from the prior year. The company has successfully acquired over 5,500 new patents in 2025, positioning it among the top ten global patent holders. The strength of Midea's operations is further emphasized by its wide-ranging network comprising 38 R&D centers and 63 production bases, showcasing its leadership in smart manufacturing and digital transformation.
