The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has launched a significant initiative aimed at providing meaningful career experience opportunities for middle and high school students. Recognizing the increasing demand for practical workplace exposure among youth, this program focuses on establishing a systematic approach to match students with various companies and organizations around the city.
Overview of the Recruitment Process
This year, the Tokyo government seeks to recruit up to 30 companies or organizations based in Tokyo, which are willing to offer career experience programs tailored to capture the interests and needs of students. The decision to implement this program stems from the
Youth Policy Participation Project, conducted in 2024, where students were directly involved in proposing policy changes that would benefit their career readiness.

Target Participants: Middle and high school students residing or studying in Tokyo.
