Recochoku Launches the 2nd 'Soundscapes' Art Contest
Recochoku, a prominent player in the digital music industry, is thrilled to announce the commencement of the 2nd 'Soundscapes' art contest aimed at elementary and junior high school students residing or studying in Shibuya Ward. This competition, supported by the Shibuya City Board of Education, aims to encourage young artists to express themselves freely through the theme of depicting their personal interpretations of "soundscapes".
This year, the contest runs from December 22, 2025, to February 8, 2026, and provides an excellent opportunity for students to channel their creativity and develop artistic skills.
The first edition of the contest set a precedent, witnessing overwhelming participation not only from individual students but also from schools and art classes. The artworks created resonated with various sounds that seem to come alive, leaving a profound impact on the Recochoku team, who drew a surge of energy from the students' creativity.
Contest Details
Theme: 'Soundscapes'
Participants are encouraged to visualize their favorite sounds—whether it's the hustle and bustle of the streets, the gentle rustling of nature, or the comforting sounds found at home—through their art. The only requirement is that the submitted artwork must be original and unpublished. Artists can use any medium they prefer, whether it's watercolor, pastels, or digital (including CG), and can submit one entry per person.
Submission Methods
Entries can be submitted either by mail or through an online form on the official contest website. When submitting by mail, participants must use an 8-cut drawing paper (27 x 38 cm) or A3 size, ensuring the work is well-protected from damage. If submitting electronically, participants should follow the specific instructions provided on the website's submission form.
Eligibility
To qualify, students must either live or attend school in Shibuya. Important note: entries from outside the region will not be considered. There is no entry fee; however, participants will bear the cost of mailing their submissions if applicable.

For both elementary and junior high school categories, winners will receive various rewards:
- - Grand Prize (1 winner): ¥10,000 gift card
- - Runner-Up Prize (2 winners): ¥5,000 gift card

Additionally, awarded artworks will be showcased on Recochoku's office entrance digital signage and other PR platforms, giving visibility to the young talents in the community.
