NOMAD Becomes Official Dealer for Louisiana Museum Posters in Japan

NOMAD and the Louisiana Museum Collaboration

In a pivotal development for cultural exchange between Japan and Denmark, NOMAD, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has secured an official dealer agreement for the poster collection of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. This partnership, effective from January 2026, aims to enhance the appreciation of Nordic and Japanese lifestyles through art.

Founded in 1958, the Louisiana Museum is among Denmark's most renowned art institutions, celebrated for its stunning architecture and its breathtaking coastal surroundings. It has hosted exhibitions featuring the works of iconic artists such as Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, and David Hockney, making it a must-visit destination for art lovers. The museum's posters, which beautifully combine artistic expression with graphic design, have garnered international acclaim and are regarded as collectible pieces. With over 200 posters, the collection continues to grow, reflecting the enduring legacy of artists associated with the museum.

NOMAD has been managing the Louisiana Museum's poster collection since last year, and this new agreement will significantly bolster its presence in Japan. This initiative comes alongside an upcoming poster exhibition, set to take place from April 24th to May 25th, 2026, at the IDEE Shop in Roppongi, Tokyo.

Louisiana Museum Poster Exhibition

Organized by Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (owner of the IDÉE brand), the exhibition titled “Life in Art: Louisiana Museum of Modern Art Poster Exhibition” will feature 24 carefully selected posters suitable for interior decoration, including works by renowned artists such as Henri Matisse and David Hockney.

Visitors to the exhibition can also purchase exclusive museum tote bags, and there will be a limited-time special offer where purchasers will receive a catalog as a gift.

In addition to the exhibition, important figures from the Louisiana Museum will visit Japan, including Jonas Bach Andersen, responsible for business development, and Melisse Ruengmanee Hansen, a B2B sales specialist. They will participate in an engaging talk event on April 25th, where attendees can gain firsthand insight into the museum's operations and the artistic allure of the posters.
