Ecomondo 2025: The Premier Event for Green Economy in Europe

The Ecomondo 2025 exhibition will take place from November 4 to 7 at the Rimini Expo Centre and is set to be the leading event in Europe and the Mediterranean for the green, blue, and circular economies. Organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), Ecomondo will feature over 1,700 exhibiting brands, welcome 350 buyers from 66 countries, and host 30 official delegations along with 90 international trade associations. This year's event marks a significant expansion, showcasing the growth of the green economy sector since its inception at the end of the 1990s.

Maurizio Ermeti, President of IEG, highlighted the evolution of Ecomondo as a global point of reference and an essential occasion for companies seeking to establish themselves in the international green markets. "The Ecomondo saga reflects a long and successful journey that has continually adapted to the evolving demands of the sector," said Ermeti.

Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, noted that Ecomondo serves as a convergence point for innovation, business, and strategic visions. It provides a platform for institutions, enterprises, and academia to discuss environmental policy challenges and opportunities in transitioning to a circular economy. Such collaboration is seen as vital for fostering global synergies that will benefit all stakeholders involved.

This year’s program highlights include the fifth edition of the Africa Green Growth Forum, focusing on access to clean and sustainable energy across Africa, in synergy with the Mattei Plan and the 'Mission 300' program. Additionally, the Foundation for Sustainable Development, in conjunction with the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE), will host an inaugural plenary session on the green economy on November 5, which will be conducted in English. This session aims to broaden dialogue with policymakers and foreign companies.

Ecomondo is now part of a global network that includes editions in Mexico and China, the Green Med Symposium in Naples, and a 2025 roadshow that will visit Cairo, Belgrade, and Warsaw. Special charter flights will be offered from Munich and Rome to facilitate participation. The event will also feature bilingual sessions with over 500 free slots available each day.

As a culmination of these efforts, Ecomondo continues to strive not only as a trade show but as a vital hub where the future of sustainable practices is being shaped. This year's event promises to foster innovative ideas and solutions, bringing together a diverse range of participants committed to the advancement of the green economy and sustainable practices across the globe.
