Xiaomi's official app store, GetApps, plays a crucial role in this ecosystem. It currently operates in more than 100 markets, supporting over 260 million monthly active users and achieving more than 30 million daily installations. This platform not only features an array of popular applications but also curates content and offers exclusive discounts on in-app purchases.
Developers benefit from a robust ecosystem powered by Xiaomi’s unique OEM capabilities. The Minicard feature allows for efficient app distribution across Xiaomi devices, resulting in 26% higher conversion rates and a 20% increase in Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) when combined with the Xiaomi Payment Solution for monetization.
Xiaomi’s innovation extends to content and service distribution. The company has developed a content ecosystem with Granular Services, facilitated through the Xiaomi HyperOS. This feature allows users to integrate core services as home screen widgets, providing instant access without the need for full app downloads. As per the company's Q3 2024 results, revenue from internet services peaked at RMB 8.5 billion, showcasing a gross profit margin of 77.5%. Particularly noteworthy is the 18.3% year-over-year growth in overseas internet revenue, reaching RMB 2.7 billion and accounting for 32.5% of the total services revenue.
