In 2025, the SeriousFun Children's Network, which was founded by the esteemed Hollywood actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, is declaring the entire year as the "Year of SeriousFun" to commemorate what would have been Newman's 100th birthday. This initiative aims to raise funds and awareness for the network's worldwide mission of providing free camp experiences to children facing life-altering medical conditions.

Paul Newman envisioned a world where children grappling with serious health challenges could reclaim their childhood amid adversity. In 1988, he founded The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, which has since evolved into a global network that hosts multiple camps around the world. According to the current CEO of the SeriousFun Children's Network, Blake Maher, the goal for this year is crystal clear: "To grow Paul’s vision to serve as many seriously ill children around the globe as possible."
