Main Event Schedule
The grand festivities culminate on
March 28 and 29, where visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of sakura during the peak bloom season. Here’s what to expect at each venue:
Oine Green Road
- - Location: Oine Green Road, Tokiwa Park, and Chuo Sports Park
- - Time: 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- - Highlights: Food stalls, exhibitions, and stage performances.
Ondagawa
- - Location: Behind the City Gymnasium and Naruse Bentenbashi Park
- - Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- - Highlights: Various food stalls, exhibitions, and children's dance performances.
Serigay Park
- - Location: Multi-purpose area in Serigay Park

Official Festival Guidebook
To enhance your festival experience, the
2026 Machida Sakura Festival Official Guidebook, titled
“Machida de Sakura Sanpo,” will be available starting around
March 9. This guidebook will provide essential festival and event information, maps highlighting cherry blossom viewing spots, coupons usable at partner stores, and a dedicated sheet for the stamp rally.
Distribution Locations
You can pick up the guidebook at several locations, including Machida City Hall, most community centers (excluding Minami and Koyama), various communication centers, and the Machida Tourist Gallery.
Sakura Sanpo Stamp Rally
- - Duration: March 14 - March 29
- - Prizes: Ten lucky winners will receive a selection of local specialties from Machida.
- - How to Participate: Collect stamps from three or more of the nine designated local facilities listed in the official guidebook and submit your completed sheet either by mail or drop it in the designated box at the Machida Tourist Gallery.
Instagram Photo Contest
- - Duration: March 14 - April 12
- - Participation: Capture and share your photos of the cherry blossoms and the festival on Instagram using the hashtag #MachidaSakuraFestival.
