Global Comic Awards 2023: A Showcase for Global Manga Creators
Celsys proudly announces the launch of the
8th Global Comic Awards, a contest designed for comic, manga, and webtoon creators from all around the globe, starting from April 30, 2023. This year, the competition is co-hosted with
Mangadraft, a popular manga and vertical-scroll comic reading app primarily operating in France and Belgium.
Contest Theme and Awards
The theme for this year’s contest is
“Impact”, inviting entries in both English and French. Those who excel in the competition will compete for a prize pool totaling approximately
1 million yen, alongside additional rewards that include the opportunity to participate in a promotion program on
Mangadraft. Moreover, partnering with prominent publishers such as
KADOKAWA and
Jump TOON, creators with outstanding submissions may receive direct offers from editors, providing a valuable chance to debut in the manga industry.
Media Collaboration
Celsys maintains a steady partnership with various global platforms to host the
Global Comic Awards, aiming to create opportunities for aspiring creators to showcase their works. Camille Fourcade
An illustrator based in Nantes, France,
Camille Fourcade graduated from an animation school in Paris and initially delved into the world of illustration. She began her career by serializing two webtoon works on
Ono, a French webtoon platform. Currently, she continues to broaden her horizons working on illustrated children’s books and covers for fantasy novels, while also developing her debut graphic novel, which is set to be published by Dupuis. You can follow her work on

ZD
ZD, a well-known manga artist in France, is currently working on the first installment of his series titled
“SPACE PUNCH”, published by
