Strengthening Economic Ties: XCMG President Visits Indonesia and Australia

Yang Dongsheng, the president of XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery, has embarked on a significant journey to strengthen international cooperation and expand global partnerships. Recently, he joined a municipal delegation from Xuzhou for economic and trade visits to Indonesia and Australia, highlighting XCMG's commitment to enhancing cooperation in the construction machinery sector.

During the trip to Indonesia, Yang participated in meetings with major local businesses, including Sinar Mas Group and PT Gaya Makmur Tractors. One of the key locations visited was the PT. XCMG Indonesian Group, as well as other foreign investment enterprises from Xuzhou. These meetings culminated in the signing of several cooperative agreements, which are poised to foster deeper relationships between XCMG and its Indonesian counterparts.

The delegation underscored Xuzhou's ambitions to quickly establish a world-class construction machinery industrial cluster, emphasizing the need for smoother communication and enhanced collaboration to achieve shared growth. This commitment was evident as they reviewed XCMG's business development, market expansion efforts, and the progress made in digital transformation at XCMG Indonesia. Employing a centralized operations platform allowed them to monitor equipment performance in real-time and observe its deployment across the regional market, showcasing XCMG's increasing capabilities in global operations and digital management.

Building strong economic and commercial ties with Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) member countries, including Australia, remains a priority for Xuzhou’s high-level opening strategy. In Perth, the delegation attended an open day event organized by XCMG and Brooks Hire Service Pty Ltd. This successful event attracted almost 100 attendees, including prominent figures such as Fu Lihua, the Consul General of China in Perth, and Douglas Brooks, CEO of Brooks Hire Service. Several product acquisition agreements were signed on-site, further cementing the relationship between Chinese and Australian firms.

Fu expressed the strong synergy between China's manufacturing capabilities and Australia's extensive market, highlighting the mutual benefits that cooperation brings to both nations. Yang further elaborated that the partnership between XCMG and their Australian counterparts represents not just opportunities, but also a growing certainty, as collaboration is increasingly vital in today’s global economy.

Additionally, the delegation visited Fortescue's headquarters, where they were introduced to the company's autonomous mining operations center, the “Hive.” Discussions with Fortescue’s CEO, Dino Otranto, revolved around developing further cooperation and jointly contributing to global green mining initiatives. Such collaboration aligns perfectly with XCMG's goals to foster efficient, green, and secure industrial ecosystems in partnership with local operators.

As XCMG continues to engage with international partners, its focus remains clear: to support global economic cooperation and drive sustainable development in the construction machinery industry. By actively participating in the expansion of global networks, XCMG is paving the way for a brighter, more interconnected future in construction and machinery operations worldwide.
