On May 24, 2026, the University of Tokyo's Ito Shajon Hall hosted the highly anticipated fifth edition of the Motivational Switch Awards. Organized by the Motivational Switch Group, a comprehensive educational services company, this annual event highlights the achievements of children and those who support their growth through various touching stories of perseverance.

The awards ceremony witnessed the gathering of 24 finalists from across the country, representing different schools and organizations, along with their families and a virtual audience. Each finalist represented inspiring stories of growth, showcasing the collaborative efforts of students, educators, and parents in nurturing the next generation. A rigorous selection process led to the recognition of four outstanding winners, one from each category: Student, Teacher, Classroom Leader, and Parent.

The 2026 winners included:
  • - Student Category: Rikka Suzuki from Kids Duo Nagakute
  • - Teacher Category: Kana Ohya from School IE Musashisakai
  • - Classroom Leader Category: Naomi Fujii from Child Eyes Honmoku Yamate
  • - Parent Category: Akiko Toda from Child Eyes Kanazawa Bunko

During the ceremony, each award recipient was surprised by touching video messages from families, students, and colleagues, creating a deeply emotional atmosphere that celebrated the essence of educational partnerships.

Masamitsu Kataoka, Vice President of the Motivational Switch Group Holdings, expressed his gratitude and admiration for the dedication displayed by students, faculty, and parents, emphasizing the importance of reflection and growth.
