Yohei Sawamura's Photography Exhibition: '10 “TEN” -Z Memory-

The highly anticipated photography exhibition titled '10 “TEN” -Z Memory-' by the talented photographer Yohei Sawamura will be held at THE GALLERY, located in Nikon Plaza Tokyo and Osaka. Starting from May 13, 2026, this exhibition promises a deep reflection on a decade of Sawamura’s journey intertwined with his beloved camera series, the Nikon Z.

For seven years, Sawamura has been capturing the essence of life through the lens of the Z cameras. His relationship with these cameras, particularly the Zf, has inspired him to create a unique camera strap brand, emphasizing the connection he feels with this equipment. In his own words, the Zf has taught him to live authentically, shedding societal pressures and focusing on his true passions. As a result, he finds inspiration in the simple moments of life that surround him, transforming everyday experiences into captivating photographic narratives.

Sawamura’s exhibition encapsulates his personal highlights: from his vibrant life in Kyoto, the warmth of friendships, peaceful cafes, and adventurous travels, to the ordinary yet beautiful moments he cherishes. With many striking photographs displayed, he offers viewers a glimpse into the memories and stories that the Z series has helped capture, ultimately shaping his artistic vision and life direction.

Reflecting on his journey, Sawamura acknowledges the transformative power of photography. Artist Background

Yohei Sawamura was born in 1985 and resides in Kyoto. His path to becoming a renowned photographer is unique, having ventured through various fields such as a hairdresser, chef, barista, and coffee roaster. This diverse professional experience enriches his artistic perspective, allowing him to work on a wide array of projects, from corporate engagements to social media branding. Currently, he also leads the camera accessory brand, THE Buddy, alongside his photography ventures.

In February 2026, Sawamura will release his first photo book titled '10', published by Mitsubachi Works Co., further solidifying his contributions to the photography world.
