AI x Partner x Robot Exhibition
From February 18 to 23, 2026, Musashino Art University will host the free-to-enter event titled
AI x Partner x Robot, organized by Yukai Engineering Inc. This exhibition aims to explore the evolving relationship between humans and partner robots in the age of artificial intelligence. Located on the second floor of the university's Ichigaya Campus, the event will feature creative works from students enrolled in the university's Robotics course, led by Yukai Engineering's CEO, Shunsuke Aoki.
Yukai Engineering, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, firmly believes in the vision of creating a “playful world through robotics.” The exhibition will showcase various products, including the communication robot
BOCCO emo, the therapeutic robot
Qoobo, and the interactive robots
Amai Gami Hamuhamu and
Nekoshita FuFu, among others. Each of these robots demonstrates unique capabilities and interactions that epitomize the blend of humanity and technology.
Concept of the Exhibition
The central question posed by the
AI x Partner x Robot exhibition is whether AI's role is merely to transform robots into efficient tools. In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, Yukai Engineering suggests that AI can also enhance personal interactions through partner robots, further blurring the lines between machines and companions. Each showcased robot invites visitors to think critically about how they integrate into human lives and how AI collaborates with them.
Featured Robots
- - BOCCO emo: Designed to connect families, this robot acts as a housemate rather than just a pet. Boasting a soft design and interactive features, it fosters warm interactions among family members.
- - Qoobo: This cushion-shaped therapy robot has a tail that responds to human touch, providing comfort and emotional healing based on human psychology.
- - Amai Gami Hamuhamu: Modeled after a baby, this robot offers the joy of gentle biting, allowing users to engage in passive communication that evokes affection.
- - Nekoshita FuFu: A unique robot that can blow air for you, making personal moments more enjoyable and cozy.
Collaborative Works by Students
The exhibition will also highlight the collaborative projects developed in Yukai Engineering’s educational program,
kurikit. Led by Professor Aoki, the Robotics course presents students with the
Makerboard, a programming kit that nurtures creativity and practical skills. Through the
CREATIVE SPRINT method focused on imaginative thinking, students have crafted innovative partner robots that will be displayed during the event. Visitors can engage with these projects, fostering interest in robotics and encouraging hands-on experiences.
