Ichikakuya Expands Its Hybrid Store Concept with New Locations

Ichikakuya Expands Hybrid Store Concept

Ichikakuya, a ramen chain famous for its Yokohama-style pork bone ramen, is significantly expanding its unique hybrid store model, which combines features from both its flagship Ichikakuya and Aburasoba concepts. Starting from August 5, 2026, the company plans to open three new hybrid locations in major urban areas, targeting office workers and students alike. This strategic expansion will take place within the bustling city centers of Shinjuku and Ikebukuro, as well as the popular Shin-Maruko neighborhood, aimed at local residents. Each store will offer a special promotion for the opening of the hybrid model, making the popular Aburasoba dishes available at a limited-time price.

Grand Opening Promotion

In celebration of the hybrid model's introduction, each opening day will feature special pricing for the signature Aburasoba dishes:
  • - Ichikakuya Shinjuku Chuo East Exit Store: Opens on August 5, 2026
  • - Ichikakuya Shin-Maruko Store: Opens on August 8, 2026
  • - Ichikakuya Ikebukuro East Exit Store: Opens on August 10, 2026

Customers can enjoy various sizes of Aburasoba (Regular, Large, and Extra Large) for only 682 JPY (750 JPY including tax) on these special days.

Spotlight on Aburasoba Products

One of the standout products at Aburasoba is their thick, chewy noodles paired with a rich, flavorful special sauce. Not only does it provide a satisfying meal, but it's also a healthier alternative to conventional ramen. The typical price for Aburasoba starts at 890 JPY.

Special Topping: Korean Seaweed with Soft-Boiled Egg

A unique topping combination features the sweetness and saltiness of Korean seaweed paired with a soft-boiled egg. This unexpected ingredient is sure to elevate the dish's flavor, making it an instant favorite. The price for this special dish starts at 1,140 JPY.

Enhancements to Toppings and Condiments

The hybrid store's menu will expand to include new toppings and condiments, enhancing the overall dining experience. Guests can customize their dishes with a variety of options such as spicy sauce, fried onions, and Japanese pickles. Four new condiments will also be offered: Cajun seasoning, curry powder, fish powder, and a-type seaweed.
