United Breast Cancer Foundation Hosts Free Mattress Giveaway in Kentucky

The United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) recently celebrated the success of its Free Mattress Giveaway held in Kentucky last month. This event, a significant contribution to the community, aimed to deliver comfort and support to individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment and recovery.

On November 22, with the support of local partner Derby City Dragons, volunteers from Jefferson County Public Schools, and the gracious donation of event space from Mall St. Matthews, UBCF successfully distributed 160 therapeutic mattresses at no cost to patients and survivors of breast cancer. This effort stems from UBCF's dedication to alleviating the physical, emotional, and financial burdens faced by those affected by breast cancer.

Restorative sleep plays a fundamental role in the healing process, as well as in maintaining emotional resilience and overall well-being during treatment. By removing the financial burden associated with acquiring a supportive mattress, UBCF enabled recipients to gain meaningful relief during a challenging time in their lives.

The impact of this event was profound, as evident from the heartfelt reflections shared by those who received mattresses:
