MAZZEL Releases New Single 'Touch' as Drama Theme Song

The eight-member dance and vocal group MAZZEL, signed under BMSG, is excited to announce that their new song 'Touch' has been selected as the theme song for the upcoming Tokai Television and Fuji Television drama series, 'Saisei no Uzume'. Scheduled for a short audio release on September 23 at 18:00, 'Touch' promises to captivate listeners with its refreshing and beautiful melody, blending R&B and J-Pop genres.

This love song tenderly portrays the joy found in everyday moments with a loved one, expressing a genuine desire to be close to one another. With its heartwarming sound, 'Touch' is sure to resonate with a wide range of fans.

'Saisei no Uzume' is based on the popular manga by Kirin Tendou and marks Ayako Imoto's first leading role in a consecutive drama format. She is joined by actors Ryu Shirasu and Yoshie Iimura, making this highly anticipated project even more notable. The narrative focuses on the connections between imperfect individuals finding their way back to life, representing a story of renewal.

In addition, starting from September 23 at 18:00, a short version of 'Touch' will be available for preview on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Fans are encouraged to tune in to these releases.

MAZZEL's fifth single, 'Touch', is set for a digital release on October 19, followed by a physical CD release on October 21. The single will feature three tracks, including 'So Strawberry,' a previous release that reached number one on the Billboard Japan Hot Shot Songs chart, and 'Round 12', a hip-hop tune co-written by members SEITO and SKY-HI. ‘Round 12’ stands out with its immersive blend of a downtempo track, aggressive raps, and powerful vocals.

The CD will be available in four formats: standard edition, limited edition, UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE edition, and a MUZEUM edition exclusive to MAZZEL's fan club members. The artwork, unveiled today, features white roses that symbolize varying meanings such as 'pure love', 'mutual affection', and 'always thinking of you', different for each edition. The MUZEUM edition is specially designed with unique photos of the members.
