Exciting Summer Events for Kids at TAKANAWA GATEWAY Travel Service Center
The TAKANAWA GATEWAY Travel Service Center, a new tourist hub directly connected to the Takanawa Gateway Station, is set to host two thrilling summer events tailored for children. These activities, which are free for all participants, present a fantastic opportunity for families to explore the vibrant Takagawa Gateway City.
Mystery-Solving Photo Rally: “Can You Save This Town? Find the Phantom Thief X!”
The first event is a thrilling mystery-solving photo rally titled “Can You Save This Town? Find the Phantom Thief X!” This interactive game invites participants to unravel clues within the captivating environment of TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY. Team up and search for Phantom Thief X, who has hidden throughout the area. Successfully solving the mystery will reward you with a small gift from the astute detective behind this challenge!

Robot Encounter Tour: “Summer Research Support Project! Let's Meet the Robots of the Future”
The second highlight is an engaging walking event aimed at elementary school children, titled “Summer Research Support Project! Let's Meet the Robots of the Future.” The newly developed TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY is home to various robots that assist with daily operations. Participants will embark on a journey alongside guides from the TAKANAWA GATEWAY Travel Service Center to discover what kinds of robots are working towards the future.
Event Details
- - Dates: August 6 & 7, 2025 (same content for both days)
- - Time: 11:30 AM - 12:40 PM (registration starts at 11:20 AM)
- - Participants: First 10 groups (1 elementary school child + 1 parent per group)
- - Event Duration: Approximately 70 minutes
- - Special Activity: Experience riding an automated mobility vehicle during the event.

Important Notes
- - Participants feeling unwell on the day are advised not to attend.
- - Arrive on time, as reservations will be canceled if late by more than 5 minutes.
- - Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking.
- - Prepare measures against heatstroke, and be ready for rain as the events will continue in case of light rain.
- - There's no luggage storage; larger bags should be placed in coin lockers at the station.
- - There may be promotional photography taken during the events, done behind participants.
- - A confirmation call will be made the day before the walk to reconfirm reservations.
